💙  From Survivor to Supporter

My name is Tim Reed, and I’m the founder of the T-Strong Foundation. This mission is deeply personal to me—because I was once one of the kids we're now fighting for.

In June 1995, just before my third birthday, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). I began treatment right away, undergoing a rigorous chemotherapy regimen designed for aggressive cases like mine. I endured multiple spinal taps, rounds of prednisone, and intense chemotherapy, but thankfully, I never had to undergo cranial radiation.

Those early years of treatment were hard, but thanks to my incredible medical team, the love of my family, and the grace of something greater, I was declared cancer-free in 2000.

Growing up, I always felt a little different. My experiences shaped how I saw the world, and although I didn’t always talk about it, the fight I went through stayed with me. I know what it’s like to be a child in a hospital room, to miss out on moments other kids take for granted. And I also know how much kindness, distraction, and encouragement can mean during that time.

That’s why I started T-Strong—to give back to kids who are facing the same uphill battle I once did.

🎗 Why T-Strong Exists

T-Strong is more than just a nonprofit—it’s my way of honoring the past and fighting for the future. Through gift bag deliveries, community support, and (soon) research funding, our mission is to let every child fighting cancer in Ohio know that they are seen, supported, and never alone.

We’ve delivered gift bags to hospitals like UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital's throughout the state of Ohio, organized events like 5Ks and book drives, and built relationships with families, sponsors, and hospitals that share our vision.

This journey—from survivor to advocate—is something I carry with pride and purpose.
